On the first boot the tablet was in chinese so i downloaded the English language pack uninstalled the chinese one. That seemed to work for most things but some things were still in chinese + there was no google play store installed (Tried lots of ways to side load it with out any luck)I then asked my the guys at cube if there was any new firmware and hip hip hooray we now have a fully English free young X5 with a working google play store (English Firmware below)

    A quick look video Review

The Free young x5 has a metal shell in silver,The power button & volume up and down buttons are on the right hand side,Speaker and mic on the bottom,USB Charging port & 3.5mm head phone jack are on the top edge of the tablet. On the rear on the x5 is the 13MP camera and behind that via unclipping the plastic cover is the sim card slots and the SD card slot.

The battery is only a 3800 mAh of capacity giving the average user about 3 to 4 hours battery life watching video etc.

From 100% full charge,I watched a 2 hour youtube video over wifi that took me down to 59% battery,I then loaded up another 2 hour movie again over wifi and that gave me a low battery warning 15% after a hour and a half.I was able to fully watch the 2nd movie leaving me 9% of battery so overall im happy with the battery life on this tablet.

The device itself respond's quite fast also apps and game's load up in little to no time.Iv been playing ashphalt 8 today witch the x5 handels fine. When a sim card is inserted the device works just like a mobile phone (Ok you wont be putting this in your jeans pocket as its a little on the large side) Sorry i cant test the 4g network as mine runs on band 20 the 800mhz and the x5 dont have the band 20 capability.

    Alldocube x5 - Problems
Hello, I have 3 problems with the tablet, I would like to know if someone else happens:

    1) Upon awakening, the screen has a lag of about 2-3 seconds to respond.

    2) Sometimes, (usually when waking up) the black screen remains with the logo of ALLDOCUBE animated circling the screen, this lasts about 4-5 seconds, then it seems to work well, but again the same, so 3 or 4 times in a row, it is random.

    3) When I give the "square" button of Andorid that shows all the applications does not always work, so that it works need rotate the tablet, then it is fixed.

Everything seems to be related to the Firmware, so I would like to know if someone else happens.

    Firmware X5_V1.0_20170718

Making a reset has not solved the problem, I just have to put the Firmware again.

Please, tell me if you happen to any of the 3 failures mentioned above?

    Thank you very much

I'm not seeing any of the 3 bugs you mentions in this
      Firmware X5_V1.0_20170718

1.Awakening the screen has no lag at all

2.The only time I see the ALLDOCUBE logo is when I first turn on the device

3.Square button works as it should in both
portrait and landscape mode for me.

It might be worth flashing the firmware again.

Hi again, I have flashed again the Firmware that you post above, but this time the thing got worse, with the same faults, adding that when the screensaver is skipped the MAC is automatically changed. Luckily I managed to overwrite the NVRAM to leave a MAC, so I continue as before. Any ideas?
