    What are the errors issued when running from the internal memory ? Is there any error messages when installing to the internal memory ?

              • Hello balbes150! Thank you so much for your amazing work and making it available to us!! I am now hopeful that I will be able to run Linux on my Tronsmart Vega s95 Telos!

                However, I run into problems when trying to update uboot. I put the two files (aml_autoscript.zip and aml_autoscript) on the root of my USB flash drive and I find them in the Update & Backup app but as it reboots and the install process is about to start it gets stuck saying "E : Cannot mount volume /misc!". Would this go away if I purchased and used an SD card instead or do you know if it's a different problem?

                • Ok I tried with an SD card instead but this time it just gets stuck at the initial Tronsmart boot screen.

                  Any tips or clues towards what I'm doing wrong would be much appreciated!

                  (To be clear: I have flashed the image called "Armbian_5.27_S9xxx_Debian_jessie_3.14.29_xfce_201 70808.img" to the SD-card and I am using the "aml_autoscript.zip" that is included in the image as you stated in the updated instruction.)

                        First I'd like to Thank the experts for their excellent contributions. Balbes, the imges you've created and posted have helped me play around with linux on my MXQ Pro, EM95 and other boxes powered by Amlogic S905.

                        Seeking advice on troubleshooting Buildroot image:
                        After several weeks of playing with the prebuild images from Balbes, I went ahead and tried making buildroot from source on openlinux.amlogic.com. I was successfully able to make the Buildroot and I think I have it installed on eMMC as well using the steps in release notes - (point 4.4) : http://openlinux.amlogic.com:8000/do...lease-v1.4.pdf

                        But now when I boot the boot sequence seems to complete, but there are some warnings and issues that I am seeking advice on:

                        1 - I get blank screen on my monitor. I am watching the UART for the bootup sequence so I know it completes.
                        2. The output of fdisk -l suggests that my partitions are not built correctly.
                        3. There are some warnings along the boot logs that I need to fix. I'll be spending more time on these, but I think the other two issues are more pressing.

                        Can someone please take a look at these logs and tell how to fix these issues.

                            • To support display need to have several elements. 1. Support in the kernel (in source code and configuration). 2. If the kernel not does a direct activation function of the monitor will need more utility "fbset". Which is commonly used in the activation script with the correct set of parameters, which activates the output on the monitor. As an example of such a script can be viewed here.

                              Partitions on the internal media, you will not see. There is no partition table (in its place be code the u-boot bootloader). To internal memory contents can be accessed via the mounting block devices (/devsystem /dev/data, etc.). For this you need the appropriate driver in the kernel (aml_nftl_new).
