  • Can you tell me how you installed TWRP for the Probox2 ? I downloaded TWRP_Probox2Air.img and tried to install it in my current Android 6 (I think build from 17.March 2017) via the official TWRP app. But the device stuck after the "VIM" letters when I booted into recovery. I could boot nomally with ease, and used the official TWRP app to re-flash the backupped original recovery. Then I could boot into the original recovery, but no TWRP for sure.
I did not try yet to use the upgrade tool (http://docs.khadas.com/bootcamp/UpgradeViaUSBCable/), since I was anxious to damage anything. I received my Vim yesterday, and could not find the installed android ROM for download. So before I change anything major, I would like to have a full backup without many risks....

    • Hello steff_1964, Can't help you on the TWRP. Firmwares for the Vim can be found here.
You may also look around the Khadas forum.

Look for custom Vim ROMs from Freaktab user/developer Superceleron. He has standard Android and Android TV versions. TWRP solution may be in his ROMs, cannot recall at the moment.
      Cheers.

      • Hi RISCy Dude, thanks! I found the firmare page before, but the version I have isn't listed there. That's the reason for a backup before I flash a newer version from there. There TWRP issue was already mentioned from Zahir in Post #121
01-06-2017, 12:33, and I was replying to it, but my reply was of cause listed at the end of the thread. Sorry for not being clearer about replying to Zahir´s post.

In response to Stef_1964, I installed the ProBox 2 Air version of TWRP on the latest official Marshmallow rom from Vim using Rashr (from the App Store).

It went straight on, and was available after a reboot into recovery. It makes fast backups, and I've had no issues with it.
