    Extra Tips Section...

    Tip (1.)
MAGISK INSTALL & HOW TO PASS SAFETYNET.

This is to hide ROOT on your box & pass Safetynet and still keep it rooted. You can also install other modules.
DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!
    • If you have ROM 709D0_AT_V3A or later I've integrated Magisk 17.1 into TWRP and you can install it from there it's in the Advanced menu.
    • Download the following 2 zip files: Magisk v17.1 and DeviceSpoofingTool4Magisk(v1500) put these somewhere you know.
    • Reboot into Recovery (TWRP) by pressing F8 key on your keyboard or by holding in the reset button on bottom while powering up the box.
    • Now in this exact order install Magisk v17.1 through the zip file or TWRP under advanced menu in TWRP after this, reboot back into the Android OS.
    • Open Magisk and if it asks you to allow Magisk to make changes and or updates, allow these changes and or updates.
    • After Magisk updated now Reboot into TWRP Recovery again and then install the 2nd zip DeviceSpoofingTool4Magisk(v1500).
    • Now reboot into the OS and open Magisk again now it should pass the SafetyNet check.
    Notes:
I have tried this on my ROM only, not any other ROM's so please only ask for help if you installed this on this ROM only.
Other users or myself can maybe try to assist on any problems you may have. If you need additional help please visit Magisk help here.

If you can't update certain apps from the play store you may need to clear cache from the google play store app in order to make it work again.
To clear cache you need to go to Settings / Apps / Google Play Store / Storage then press CLEAR CACHE button now your apps should update.

    Tip (2.)
SPMC 17 FOR BETTER VIDEO PLAYBACK.

This is for people who still might be having some video playback issues.
Download SPMC V17.6 or newer link here.
Then go to Settings >> Then go to Player settings >> then go all the way down and change the option from basic to advanced then go up to Videos and look for the Playback Section and change Adjust display refresh rate to Always. Then go to the Processing Section in there leave all hardware acceleration on then go down to Accelerate MPEG2, MPEG4, h264 and hevc and change those all to Always then close out SPMC properly and then re-open you must restart SPMC properly in order for changes to take place. Then see if your troubled videos work.

Also you can try to enable HDMI self-adaption option and see if this helps out. To do this go to settings by pressing F9 on a keyboard or on the cogwheel in top right hand corner of original IR Remote then settings will come out on the right hand side of the screen. Then under Droid setting / playback settings / HDMI self-adaption and enable that option and see if this helps too.

    Tip (3.)
    More Stable Wifi Connection

Go to new TV Settings (or press F9 on keyboard) then go to Network and join a Wifi network. After you've joined successfully then scroll all the way down and go to IP settings then change this from dhcp to static. Usually all the default options are gonna work so just keep accepting all the changes until the end. This should help with waking up from sleep and staying connected and also helps with disconnects from the Wifi network.

    Tip (4.)
    Disable Notifications

For example if you want to disable YouTube notifications from popping up in the status bar at top of your screen do the the following steps. Go to Settings / Apps then scroll down until you see YouTube then click on it then go to Notifications then Block all (Never show notifications from this app) toggle that switch on.

    Tip (5.)
    Keep status bar hidden

For the most part the status bar hides itself in this ROM. But if you want it hidden all the time. You'll only need to do this once. Here are the following steps:
    1. Download terminal emulator app from the playstore.
    2. Then run the following 2 commands in the terminal app:
    su
    then run:
    settings put global policy_control immersive.status=*
This will make the status bar immersive.
Now for some reason you want to undo these changes, you can run these 2 commands:
    su
    then run:
    settings put global policy_control null*

ALVATECH, can you tell me if this ROM would be compatible with the s / n box: A706DBDH90222? In device info it informs that the version number is 708D0. version 7.1.2 kernel version 3.14.29. I am a layman and I am confused with this, if you can send the link how to install twrp, thank you !!!

Yes this should be compatible. This ROM is based off of the 708D0 firmware which is what you have installed currently.

You download ROM and install it with Amlogics USB Burning Tool. You donít use TWRP for install. Also if you ever want to go back to original firmware you would need to download it from beelinks site. Just look up 708D0 firmware and install it the same way. Make sure it ends in D0 NOT N0 that would be for older boxes. You could also install with an SD Card.

You might have the wrong SN on box or something didníít flash properly. Beelink has had a lot of people confused about their SN and firmwares they also have been changing their hardware out a lot and this is also causing a lot of issues. I would try to flash again if not then try my other ROM itís gotta be one or the other. Here is the other ROM: http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...both-6255-9377
let me know how this works out.

                      Hello, it's very confusing.

I recently bought a TVBOX Beelink GT1 Ultimate, but the S/N sticker they put under it has got a serial number beginning with A706DSCG***

Actually there is Android 7.1.2 build 708D0 on it.

It's confusing because, with that information I don't know what kind of GT1 Ultimate model I got , and which firmware I can use on it.

I would like to update the firmware because, don't know why, a specific application, Orange TV (french application to see Tv stream from Orange Telco), doesn't want to work on it. It's possible to install it, launch it, but after that the application don't internet. The others yes, but not this one. Perhaps a stock firmware issue.

So I would like to try alternative firmwares, and this one if it fits my GT1 U .

                      Can you clarify this point?

If your Build is 708D0 then this should work just fine for you. Since this is based off of this ROM. You shouldn't have any problem. This is what I recommend people to do first before flashing from now on. Checking current build and if it's based off same firmware to then use ROM. This is why I mentioned (Build) Firmware Version example 708D0 (ending in D0). Please report back if you use it with success.
                        Thank you,

                        Alvatech

Hello Alvatech. Great work ! I tried it and works great. Just two issues ! i can't find the option is display for zoom out that Beelinks ROM had and the Image is out of bounds for me. Also I would like to unroot it to play some apps. I wasn't able to install SuperSU or Magisk. what can I do ? Or would be easy for you to upload an unrooted version with the option in display for zoom out ?

                            Hello,
For the display option you are talking about you need to go to settings either pressing F9 or the cog wheel in upper right corner of IR Remote. Then go to droid settings / display / screen position then in there you can zoom in and out as needed. For the unrooting of the box there's a couple of different way let me see if maybe I can give you a zip file to update to remove root. I will PM you the file when ready for you to test.
                            Hope this helps.
Thank you for the positive feedback.

Thank you so much for the quick response. You are great. The F9 menu was exactly what I was looking for. I'll be waiting for the zip file. Cheers !
