And that's why I was asking for the diferences (in plain terms) between the two roms. Can't be that hard. One of them is better because...

Regarding the sound. I own a Alfawise S92 and when turning on the box, as soon as the android logo pops up there's a super high and annoying sound, I'd like to get rid of it.

    Thanks for the help.

Open "/system/build.prop" and change line "ro.product.device=once" to "ro.product.device=p201_9377". Saved file and reboot to recovery and install SCV11. Wipe Dalvik/Cache and reboot to system.
FTMC hang for the first time as waiting for external storage, whatever that meant. Rebot the box and FTMC open without glitches and to my surprise all addons are stil in place.
The ghost pointer has gone. Thanks SC
PS: I was still in SCV10
        no p201_9377 but q201_9377

              Download this file

              https://www.dropbox.com/s/iuv5sk3gjqd5uid/bootvideo?dl=0

Using an appropriate file manager with root access, navigate to /system/etc and backup the file bootvideo to somewhere else just in case.

Copy the bootvideo file you downloaded to the same location, overwriting the original.

Change the file permissions. Using ES File Explorer it will be rw-r--r-- Owner - Root Group - Root

Then reboot and the audio will be gone.

I have tested this with this very firmware and it works for me.

No, why to do that? It's an excellent rom this one!

I presume there are any improvements or codecs added as far as Android 7 is concerned.

                      Anyways, thanks for the advice.

hi, I formatted the card using these instructions:
                          https://techzbyte.com/2017/02/how-to...ard-maker.html

placed the card in the box, when powering ON (hold the reset button - on the bottom of the unit)

                          that flashed the box automatically
