  • UBoot features

I'm waiting for two Tanix TX3 mini boxes I'll use to wet my feet on ARM and cluster programming (aiming to go up to eight of those boxes)...
The question is: does UBoot allow BOOTP / TFTP boot (and NFS filesystem, but that isn't uboot dependant) ?
It sound like an easier (faster and less hardware wearing) alternative than using SDcards and stuff...
I know that having the whole OS "remote" on a 10/100 mbit link isn't that nice but it's good in certain conditions (and great for developement).

As far as I can see Odroid C2 UBOOT do support kernel boot from BOOTP/TFTP:

    odroidc2#bootp
    Amlogic Ethernet Init
    Success: reset mac OK!(0)
    ETH PHY hardware reset OK
    find net phy id=0x1cc916, phyad=0
    set_mac_mode(2)
    final_addr[rx-tx]: 0000000073f5b1e0-0000000073f5b7e0
    Ethernet reset OK
    MAC address is 00:15:18:01:81:31
    phy auto link failed
    half duplex
    10m
    BOOTP broadcast 1
