On the surface it sounds like a hardware issue.

If you switch on and then repeatedly hold down the ESC key on the keyboard, does the BIOS appear?

I'm not using a keyboard but a remote supplied with the box. However, I've tried pressing different buttons on the remote as soon as i switch on but no sign of any signal.

Are you able to try a physical keyboard?

I have a Bluetooth keyboard which i was going to set up with the box but the problem started before i had the chance to do so. No keyboard is configured currently to work with the box.

OK, well that rules one option out then.

Perhaps dropping their support people an email at service@chuwi.com is one step, although they are on holiday until Feb 5, so you won't get a response until after then.

I did see some passthrough sound issues with an earlier 17 RC release, which also resulted in not being able to close Kodi but not seen it in 16.1, although I did update drivers using Iobit Driver Booster free.

See what happens if you update the drivers.

I have found out a few more things about my issue. I have pasted the email i have just sent to chuwi. Anyone have any ideas?

                                Hi,

I have two samsung tvs and have the same issue. On both, the start up option of dual operating system is skipped. Signal only is shown after it enters Android.

Video of hibox on my samsung hdtv https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5yMo...m-upload_owner

Video of hibox on samsung 4k tv https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rqWo...m-upload_owner

I am able to switch to Windows from Android however, if i shut down from windows i am not able to get any signal at all after i restart. I suspect that is because after initial count down the hibox tries to automatically log in to the last logged in operating system. Issue with no signal starts if i shut down from windows. Only way of getting signal back is connecting my hibox to a non samsung tv- switching back to Android from windows and shutting down and then recconecting it back to my samsung tv and wait for it to connect automatically to Android.

Is there a known problem with hibox when connected to some samsung tvs?

It has been very frustrating and many times iv'e had to take my hibox in to work to connect it to a non samsung tv to shut down from Android so atleast at home i am able to use Andoid on the box.

I keenly await for your solution.
